Fun with Stats

Every now and then, I check my blog stats to see where people are coming here from and what they google to get here. I forget how funny some of the google searches are, but I'd like to share some of the more recent ones:

  • Look around the world pretty baby is it everything

  • Bonk (this one came from Germany- some of my people?)

  • Put my head upon your hips (so wrong- it should be "I put my hand up on your hip")

  • Pictures of corey lynch

  • Katy boone my space

  • I put my head up on yo hip and we dip (again, it's "I put my hand up on your hip, When you dip, I dip, we dip")

  • GOOOOOOOOOO

  • "business trip" "long distance" Playboy (sounds scandalous!)

And my all-time favorite.... On May 18th, 2008, someone in West Chester, PN googled:

  • Sneaking weed through US airport in my bra

And found their way to my blog. Now if that doesn't get me red flagged at all airport security stops, I don't know what will.

Know what's NOT cool? My office today:
"The problem has been determined; the motor that operates the chiller has stopped working (it’s 15 years old). Because of this, no cold air is circulating through the building, as we all know.

The short-term solution is to rent a chiller from Trane, the manufacturer, which will be shipped here from Charlotte this afternoon. We may need to re-locate a few vehicles in the back parking lot, since it will arrive on a flat-bed trailer. It will be hooked up to the building, and will begin to cool us down. I would not expect the building to be fully cooled by 5:00, due to the temperature rising this afternoon, and because we don’t have a confirmed delivery time, but we anticipate normal air-conditioned temperatures by the time we arrive at work tomorrow morning.

The long-term solution is to tear down the existing chiller, pull out the motor and assess whether we only replace the motor, or if we should go ahead and replace the whole chiller. This will occur over the next couple of weeks. We will continue to rent the alternate chiller on a week to week basis until a decision is made.

Thanks for your patience. Try to stay cool ……"

It is 90 degrees and rising. The sun is about to come over to my side of the building where the entire wall behind me is made up of windows. AND? The people coming in to pay their taxes or to ask me questions about their land stink bad on a freezing cold winter day. Imagine the smells that are coming from the tax office today?

Happy Friday everyone! I don't have too much to talk about today.
Daniel and I spent $100 on 2 tanks of gas yesterday. Ridiculous.
We're going camping this weekend!!!
2 of the obnoxiously loud co-workers are both out today, so YAY! for that.
LuLu and Buddha are still not getting along. I think it's a dominance issue.
The Furminator is AWESOME.
My sister is having a not-so-fun pregnancy. Read and comment to make her happy.
There are 4 different songs on my Ipod that are all named Angel.

Allison has challenged me to blog at least once a week.

I have a new favorite cd - Coco by Colbie Caillat. I didn't think I would ever want to buy the whole album because "Bubbly" is on the radio every 5 minutes, and I am so sick of that song. That's too bad for her, because the rest of the album is great. And the whole thing is only $9.99 on itunes. That's my plug for today.

Oh, and? Carmen and Allison have introduced me to Pringles baked wheat stix, pizza flavored. They are DE-LISH.

Andrea is coming to visit tonight!! We are going out to eat, and then I don't know what, but she's staying with us, so we'll probably end up playing Friends Scene It until Andrea falls asleep on the couch because that's what we do. Daniel's mom is coming to visit tomorrow afternoon. We're going to try out a German restaurant for supper Saturday night, and we're cooking out Sunday. (Allison, be ready for veggie burgers!)

Updates, Cats, and Football (Sounds about right for my blog...)

There's nothing like checking my blog stats and seeing everyone who stops by to visit to get me to come out from my black hole and post again... (Hi Tempe, Arizona! Hi Poland! Hi Reston, Virginia!)
I guess my adventures lately haven't been too exciting, so I haven't posted. Also, I'm all about some Twitter these days. It's so much easier to write up a quick twat than committing to writing an entire blog entry. I apologize to all of my blogging friends for not commenting lately. I am still reading- I've just become a lurker I suppose.
We're headed to Greensboro tomorrow for the weekend. I'm going to meet up with Erica somewhere tomorrow night because it's been entirely too long since I've seen her. She's graduating from UNCG next weekend, by the way. This is the girl who was FOUR YEARS OLD when I started baby-sitting for her. Crazy. Saturday, Daniel will be playing golf with my friends while I go visit my RuRu all day. (Okay, they are his friends too, but they've been my friends longer. hmmmph.) At least I'll get to see David Saturday night when we go out with him and April.
Buddha turns 5 next week! Maggie hit the big 0-5 last month. And LuLu is 1-ish now. It has been brought to my attention that I didn't let everyone know the situation with LuLu. On Feb 15th, we brought LuLu in the house while we packed to leave for the weekend. Since we would be gone, we thought it would be a good trial-run to see if everyone could get along in the house. So we left her there alone with Maggie and Buddha all weekend. When we came home, there were no major injuries and no missing body parts, so all in all, it was a success. We let Maggie and Buddha outside to play that day, but LuLu wouldn't budge from the cat tree to join them. Ever since then, she's been inside with absolutely no interest in going outside. The three of them are still learning to live together. What used to be all-out-primal-screaming cat fights are now simple hisses with the occassional foot bop to the face. LuLu still has a LOT of kitten in her, and Maggie and Buddha don't understand that when she pounces on them, it is not a violent act. She simply wants to play. It certainly makes me much less stressed knowing that LuLu is inside safe and sound.
Plane tickets and hotel room are booked for the Appalachian/LSU Battle at the Bayou in August! Now if we can just zoom on through the summer and get to football season...

Write-in Option is looking good!

I still haven't decided who to vote for yet, but this morning, a new candidate was suggested to me on the AppFan Blog.
