A Holiday Weekend Wrap-Up

I haven't posted in a while, so I'll do a bulleted post on what's been going on with me...

  • Thanksgiving was a blast. We went to Madison and ate lots of good food Thursday night. Then on Friday, we all went hiking. There were about 4 inches of snow on the ground where we went, and it was preeeeeetty!

  • After hiking, we went to eat Mexican with Daniel's parents. Cheryl and I went next door to go shopping after supper, and I fell up the steps. We laughed until we cried. It was HILARIOUS.
  • Last Saturday, Daniel's parents came to Boone with us for the Appalachian game. You know the one? We stomped all over Coastal Carolina. Yep.
  • Monica came up for the game! And Erica's friend Tracy was there too. He got us 3rd row seats

  • I saved a girl's life in the bathroom at the game. Poor thing- I hope she's okay.
  • Some of you may have heard that South Carolina beat Clemson last Saturday also. Yeah, there may have been a phone call made to a certain brother-in-law/Clemson graduate that involved chicken noises from my mother-in-law....
  • Sunday was a day of rest as it is supposed to be. ('cept I wasn't real happy with the Panthers game...)
  • And now it is the last day of November and the weather could not be better! Why can't it be in the 60s all winter long?
  • This weekend, Appalachian is taking on Montana State at 4pm in Boone. Be sure to watch it on ESPN2 if you can't make it up the mountain for our fabulous tailgate! Go Apps!!!

I know, I'm the worst blogger ever...

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving!!! That means Christmas is right around the corner- YAY! We usually go to Daniel's aunt and uncle's house in Knoxville for tgiving, but they are all SICK this year, so we've had to rearrange our plans. I'm still not positive of where we're going now since no one can make up their minds for sure. But I think the last thing mentioned was that we are going to Madison and spending the holiday with Daniel's parents, Ben, and Carrie. Which will be much fun, but I will miss not seeing all of the cousins and aunts and uncles. BUT, we'll see them all at Christmas in a few weeks.
Saturday is the first game of the playoffs, and ASU is hosting Coastal Carolina that afternoon in Boone! Woot! We'll be there!
OH! I finally have pictures up from Erica's FT party! You can go here to see them.

Greetings from Dallas!

I got here yesterday afternoon after barely making it onto my flight (WHY do they purposely over-book flights?!), then sitting in the middle of the absolute LAST row on the plane. I couldn't see out of a window at ALL because there wasn't one in my row, and I couldn't see above the seats in front of me. Ridiculous. Oh, and the airline put a 4 inch gash into the back of my brand new suitcase. Why do I always have such bad luck flying? At least I had baby goodness to see once I got here!

This morning, Piglet had a bath:

Then he and I talked and played while Pigs got ready. We went to the grocery store where the Lil Bit got fussy, so Aunt Katie took him outside and walked him around in the stroller while Pigs finished her shopping. I just finished trying on all of the clothes that Pigs says she can't wear anymore, and I racked up! woot! Tonight we are going to eat Mexican somewhere, then maybe play my Friends Scene It game. :)

Look around your world pretty baby, is it everything you hoped it'd be?

Last weekend, Michelle and I went to Boone for the ASU-Citadel game. We met up with Phyllis and Bill to tailgate in Stadium lot. That's where we got to take pictures with the Chancellor and the National Championship trophy! Some of you may have seen Michelle and I on the ASU alumni blog yesterday. (Thanks Rob!) That ring was so big and so heavy, I was nervous that it would fall off and roll under a car! (It did not.) Phyllis took Michelle and I up in the Yosef room where we got free food and free drinks, and hob-nobbed with the whozits and whatzits of ASU's finest. (Not really, but we did stand there with them all around us.) Then Alisa called to tell us that she and Matt had saved us seats at the 50-yard line, so we high-tailed it over there to claim our seats. I don't remember ever getting to a game so early... The game was a lot of fun. Anthony and Deanna came and sat with us too, and we had a great time. I took a few videos that are up on my YouTube channel, but I'm pretty sure they are uniquely funny to those of us who were there...

Andrea and I went shopping last night, and I finally used my gift card at Rack Room that I got for Christmas last year! I also bought a few Christmas presents, and I might have picked up a little something for
The Piglet who I'm going to see NEXT WEEK!!!

Maybe I'll just have a weekly blog...

I hope everyone had a good Halloween! We did a whole lotta nothin' for it this year. No costumes, no candy, no parties. It was quite uneventful... BUT last weekend was GREAT. Appalachian played (and severly BEAT) Furman, and we had a great tailgate party before the game. Daniel's cousin David came up Friday night, and we all went up to Boone bright and early Saturday morning. When we got there, it was raining horizontally (as it usually does in Boone), and it was about 40 degrees. (The windchill was probably in the 20s due to the 30mph winds with 50mph gusts.) Didn't phase us one bit- there were bratwursts and hot dogs to cook and a football slaughtering to watch! As the day went on, the sun came out, and the wind reduced to about 15-20 mph, so it turned out to be a great day for a game. Jeff and Tracy, Scott and Crystal, Allison, Alisa, and Ani all met us up in Greenwood for our tailgate. Good friends and good times! My pictures are here, and here are others from Allison, Alisa, and Ani.

This week we play The Citadel in our last regular season home game. I'm going up with Michelle, and we're going to meet up with Phyllis and go to the Yosef Club room- yay! Hopefully, I will be able to go out with Erica that night when we get back from Boone. The Panthers have a bye this week, so no plans for Sunday yet. Oooh- and I get to go see
Tyler in less than 2 weeks!!! Look at the cute little punkin' head!!! Cute little punkin' head!
