This is the scene from my deck this morning. Daniel took this picture because I was at WORK and he got the day off. You know, for the SNOW. After my one-hour delay, I slid into work, barely making it into the parking lot that had not been scraped or salted. oof.

Okay, so I am a rumor-spreader, and I found out from a more reliable source what really happened with The Library in Boone. A waitress has told me that the owner did not pay his taxes, so now he is in jail. He is not married, he did not run off with a waitress, and he is not missing. (Although that makes for a much more juicy story.)

Last weekend we met Jeff and Tracy in Boone for lunch and an App basketball game. The restaurant we wanted to go to, The Library, had a for sale sign in the yard and tape on the doors when we got there. ? We later found out that the owner ran off with a waitress before new years, never to be heard from again. The owners wife is not interested in reopening the restaurant. So we went to the Shroom instead and enjoyed yumminess and beer there. The bball game was a good one, we beat UNCG 91-68. w00t! After the game, Jeff and Tracy came down the mountain with us and we went out to The Tavern with Erica and David. Then we went home and played BOARD GAMES!!! We played Sorry! and Outburst! until the wee hours of the morning. =D Then we watched football all day Sunday. Since I don't have a team in the playoffs, I like to pull for the underdog. (Except for Seattle.) Now it's another long week of work, but this coming weekend will be FUN. So, something to look forward to.

Evidently, after Appalachian State wraps up another winning season of football, I run out of things to blog about... (By the way, Michigan beat Florida last night, so that means we could totally take them too.) Christmas has come and gone. Our New Years was a LOT of fun. Now we have a long weekend for MLK Jr to look forward to. I'm putting something together for that weekend, but it is still too early in the planning stages to discuss now. Then we'll have our MEXICO trip to look forward to! WAHOO!
