Quick, drive-by post because it's been a while...

Two weekends ago, Daniel, Allison, and I went to Atlanta to visit Pigs, Andrea, and Chad. GOOD TIMES. Played with Piglet and Pigpen. Ate delicious chicken fajitas. Rode MARTA. Went bar-hopping in Lower 5 points. Took fun pictures that can be seen here.

Last weekend, went to Boone Friday-Sunday. Stayed in a great cabin on Howards Knob with Jeff, Tracy, Chad, Dennis, and Kristen. GOOD TIMES. Tailgated in the typical Boone football weather. It was sunny, cloudy, windy, rainy, sleety, cold throughout the day. Love Boone. Beat the Elon Phoenix. Mountaineers are Southern Conference Champions for the 4th year in a row. Boo-Yah. Played Wii. Had a blast with friends. Ate some awesome queso. Got snowed in. Slid our cars down the mountain Sunday afternoon. Pictures are not available to the general public.

Going back to Atlanta today for the weekend for Pigs' Fakesgiving. Mom and Dad are there already, and cousin Christy and her hubby and babies will be there tomorrow. Can't wait to EAT yummy food!!! (mmmmmm.... Mama Elise's dressing....)

And? What's up with the snow ALL OVER NORTH CAROLINA EXCEPT HERE? Rob said he heard it was even snowing in Key West. :b

IM Conversation with my Sister:

(After reading my Facebook status of, "Katie just got off the train in Atlanta. The Jonas Brothers were on the train with us.")

Pigs: The Jonas Brothers?

Me: There were a bunch of teenagers on the train and I told two of them that they looked like the Jonas Brothers. They were 14!!! On MARTA at midnight!!!

Pigs: That seems weird.

Me: It was. The oldest of them was a 17-year-old blond chick. Most of them had braces.

Pigs: Just like when we were young... Mom and Dad would just put us on the city train...

Me: Ha! Harriette barely let us go to the bowling alley alone!

Pigs: Oh, riiiiiiiight.

Football and Halloween!

What a FUN Weekend!!! After working a half day on Friday, Daniel and I went to Boone where we met Jeff, Tracy, Allison, Chad, and Jesse at our hotel and we all got ready to go tailgating. Jeff was The King, and on the way to campus, we went through the Burger King drive-thru so he could pick up 20 burgers to give out during the tailgate. Restaurant employees were leaning out of the drive-thru window taking pictures of The King and asking him for a raise. We had to pull over and wait for the burgers, so The King got out of the car and waved to all of the gameday traffic. There are movies and pictures here. (Flickr and Blogger do not agree when it comes to embedding videos.) Tailgating was much fun, as usual. The King passed out his burgers and reverse-pick-pocketed people. We went through about 5 giant bags of candy for all of the trick-or-treaters who stopped by. (Chad was especially generous to the kid dressed up as Armanti Edwards, star QB of the Appalachian Mountaineers.) The game started at 8pm, and was televised on ESPN2. The record-breaking crowd of 30,931 was energetic and LOUD. It was a great night at The Rock. And the final score of 70-24 was incredible.

Saturday, we all headed down the mountain to Greensboro. We stopped off at my parents' house for a few hours to visit and have lunch, then we went to Jeff and Tracy's for their Halloween party. We played some cornhole that afternoon before we started getting into costume. Team Bonk (Daniel and me) DOMINATED. The party was lots and lots of fun. Pictures are here. Sunday was spent watching football and recovering from all of the fun. Trivia tonight!
